(Our Youth Pastor offers youth group for 7th – 12th grade during this time, and on Wednesday evenings.)
After the 2nd Service Sunday School classes, K-6th classes are escorted to “The Island” (info below) for free play, allowing parents to leisurely visit after service or head to an adult class. K-6th are therefore checked out from The Island unless they are checked out from their classrooms at 11:00.
After free play between services, during 3rd service (11:20 - 12:20), we offer Sunday School classes for children aged 0 – 5, and for children in Kindergarten through 6th grade, we have a large group service, “3rd Service Kids Church” (3KC), located upstairs in The Island (large youth group room). 3KC is a Christian Camp/VBS style service where we play games, recite the pledge to the Christian Flag and Bible, sing songs to Jesus, eat snack during a video lesson and teaching time, and end with a fun video of the previous week’s morning game. Free play follows until parents check out their children.
Kids love participating in both services on Sundays, so feel free to come to one of the worship services during one service and one of the Bible classes during the other. We offer a variety of adult classes during all three services. Learn about these classes on our church app (text “fbcoh app” to 77977) or our webpage: www.oakharborfamilybible.org.
We also have special events throughout the year such as Vacation Bible School (VBS July 15-19), Harvest Festival (October), Gingerbread House Making Party (December), and Kids Spring Weekend (May 3-5).
We have an email list used to communicate happenings within Children’s Ministry. Email me if you’d like me to add you to that list.
